Eurovision 2024 day 2 of rehearsals my top 8 & review

Today was the second day of rehearsals in Malmö Sweden has taken place at Malmö arena. The second half of semi final 1 had their first rehearsal. The countries that rehearsed were Iceland, Slovenia, Finland, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Australia, Portugal, Luxembourg. My top 8 is based on the tiktok clips which were released earlier today on @eurovision.

1. Slovenia: although it was brighter than expected it was still very good her vocals were on point my only comment is to make it a bit darker as it will fit with the vibe of the song, but I like that they made it similar to the music video.

2. Azerbaijan: I did not expected something like this from Azerbaijan but it works, I like the animated figure it looks great on the LED. The vocals are also amazing both sounded amazing and gave me chills. I Think Azerbaijan could be a possible shocker qualifier.

3. Portugal: personally I'm not a huge fan of the song but the staging is good. It might look a bit simple but it works for Portugal they know how to do staging as the last couple of years I liked their staging and once again Iolanda's vocals are amazing it it's similar to her national final performance but it looks way bigger and better.

4. Luxembourg: it's not bad but it's missing something it's kinda miss match and needs something else also I hope that's not her final outfit because it doesn't fit with the background.

5. Moldova: I liked the background with the butterflies and wings to make her look like an "angel" I think that's interesting but it's not the most original idea and it looks a bit cheap in my opinion, I hope there will be some effects with camera angles to make it look better.

6. Australia: this was not what I was expecting at all. I was disappointed I really thought that Australia would do something better since the lyric video was very low budget I thought they were going to give us something different. It just looks very basic but I do appreciate that we see hear a new language (Yankunytjatjara) on eurovision.

7. Finland: surprisingly it's not my last, it's basically the same as their national final performance so nothing new and personally I do not want this to qualify.

8. Iceland: I like her gold outfit much more than her red dress she had in söngvakeppnin however staging wise I don't like it I'm surprised she went with a basic and simple staging so yeah I was expecting at least something decent, I think it's safe to say Iceland is a sure nq.
